Rithmic trade copier for prop firm accounts

TradeCloner is a Rithmic trade copier for traders running several prop firm accounts. Many futures prop firms issue Rithmic credentials for their accounts. TradeCloner connects to those accounts, and you trade one of them, your Master, while TradeCloner copies its trades in real time to your follower accounts. It runs in the cloud, so your PC does not need to stay on.

Which firms use Rithmic

Rithmic firms you can connect include Apex, Bulenox, Earn2Trade, Tradeify and TopstepTrader, along with other firms that issue Rithmic credentials. You can connect accounts from more than one firm and use them in the same copy group.

Your firm's rules come first. Prop firms set their own copy trading rules and change them often. Check your firm's current rules before you connect a copier.

Your Rithmic credentials are not your firm portal login

Get this right before your first connection. Your prop firm gives you two different logins:

  • The portal login you use on the firm's website to buy evaluations and see your dashboard.
  • The Rithmic username and password that your trading platform uses. The firm issues these separately, usually from a credentials or platform access page in its dashboard.

TradeCloner needs the second one. If you cannot find it, your firm's support can show or reissue it.

Paper or live. Rithmic runs a paper (simulation) environment and a live environment. Evaluation and challenge accounts usually sit on paper, and funded accounts usually sit on live. Your firm's credentials page normally tells you which one an account is on. When you connect, you also pick your firm's Rithmic system.

Step by step: connect your Rithmic accounts, find your Rithmic credentials, paper vs live and Rithmic troubleshooting.

Rithmic as Master, Rithmic as follower, or mixed

A copy group has one Master and any number of followers within your plan, and they do not need to be on the same platform:

  • All Rithmic. A Rithmic Master with Rithmic followers, at one firm or several.
  • Rithmic Master, mixed followers. A Rithmic Master copied to followers on Tradovate, NinjaTrader or ProjectX.
  • Rithmic followers, another Master. A Tradovate Master copied into your Rithmic accounts.

One copy group is active at a time.

What gets copied

  • Market, limit and stop orders. A market fill on the Master is copied to each follower, and a resting limit or stop is placed on each follower as a resting order.
  • Modifications and cancellations. Move a resting limit or stop on the Master and the follower orders move too. Cancel on the Master and the follower orders are cancelled.

Not supported: stop-limit orders, trailing stops, multi-bracket orders, auto breakeven, and brackets sent through a TradingView webhook.

How followers are sized

  • Multiplier from 1 to 50. The follower trades the Master's size times its multiplier.
  • Fixed contract count. The follower trades the same count every time.
  • Max contracts cap. A per-follower ceiling, useful when an account has a contract limit.
  • Cross Order. A follower can trade the micro of the contract your Master trades, or the reverse, across eight pairs including NQ and MNQ, GC and MGC, and SI and SIL. It changes the contract, not the count. See the mini to micro trade copier.

Protection

  • Follower Protection. When your Master goes flat, any follower still holding the copied position is closed.
  • Daily profit target and daily loss limit, per account. A follower that breaches one is flattened and locked, so no more copies go to it. Locks reset at 5 PM ET, Monday to Friday. A Master that hits its limit is flattened but not locked.
  • Blown-account detection. If the broker closes an account, TradeCloner suspends copying to it.

Speed

TradeCloner's own processing adds well under 100 ms. The rest is the broker's order handling.

How it works

  1. Start your trial and connect Rithmic. Enter the Rithmic username and password from your firm, choose paper or live, and pick your firm's system. Repeat for each firm.
  2. Create a copy group. Choose your Master and add your followers, from any firm and any supported platform.
  3. Set each follower's size. Multiplier or fixed contracts, a max-contracts cap, and Cross Order where needed.
  4. Turn on protection. Check that Follower Protection is on and set daily limits per account.
  5. Trade your Master. TradeCloner copies each order to every follower in the group.

FAQ

Where do I find my Rithmic login?

Your prop firm issues it, separately from the login you use on the firm's website. Look for a credentials or platform access page in your firm's dashboard, or ask the firm's support.

Paper or live?

Pick the environment the account is on. Evaluation and challenge accounts are usually on paper and funded accounts usually on live. Your firm's credentials page normally says which.

Can a Rithmic account follow a Tradovate Master?

Yes. A copy group can have its Master on one supported platform and followers on another, in either direction.

Which orders are not copied?

Stop-limit orders, trailing stops, multi-bracket orders, auto breakeven, and brackets sent through a TradingView webhook.

Can a Rithmic account be the Master for TradingView alerts?

No. TradingView webhooks need a Tradovate or NinjaTrader Master. Rithmic accounts can still follow that Master.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Copy trading starts with a 7-day free trial, and a card is required to start it. The trade journal, news and economic calendar are free with no card.

Connect your Rithmic logins, pick a Master and let every follower copy it. Not ready to connect? Try the trade journal free, no card needed.

Futures trading carries substantial risk of loss.

The futures trade copier built for prop firm traders. Copy every fill across NinjaTrader, Tradovate, ProjectX and Rithmic prop firms, with each account's limits enforced live.
