Quick Setup Guide

This guide takes you from zero to copying live trades in about five minutes. You'll connect a broker, build a copy group, and place a test trade.

Step 1: Connect your broker

Go to Connections → Add Connection and pick your platform. Tradovate, NinjaTrader, ProjectX, or Rithmic.

How you connect depends on the platform:

• Tradovate & NinjaTrader. An OAuth redirect. You sign in on the broker's site and authorize TradeCloner; your password is never shared.
• ProjectX. Enter your username and API key.
• Rithmic. Enter your username, password, and select your system (your prop firm, e.g. Apex or Topstep).

Once connected, your accounts sync automatically and every funded account appears within seconds.

Prop-firm demo/eval accounts (Apex, Topstep, Tradeify, and others) are fully supported. Connect them exactly the same way.

Step 2: Create a copy group

Go to Groups → + Add Group and fill in the group:

1. Group Name. A name you'll recognize, e.g. "Apex Main"
2. Master Account. The account you'll actually trade from
3. Follower Accounts. The accounts that copy the master
4. Multiplier. A per-follower size multiplier from 1x up to 50x (each follower can be set independently), plus an optional Max Contracts cap

Click Create & Activate to go live.

Only one group can be active at a time. Activating a new group automatically pauses any other active group.

Step 3: Verify in the Console

Open the Console. You should see your group with the master and all followers listed, and a green status dot next to each healthy connection.

Step 4: Place your first trade

On the master account in your trading platform, place a small market order. It appears on every follower almost at once and shows up in the Console's Filled tab.

This places real orders on every follower account. Use a single contract for your first test so any surprise is small.

Step 5: Monitor live

The Console updates in real time and shows:

• Open P&L per account
• Current position (long / short / flat)
• Copy-event history with per-copy latency
• Pending limit / stop orders
